About Elizabeth Asphalt Paving
Elizabeth Asphalt Paving is a local asphalt paving and sealcoating service based in Elizabeth, Colorado, working across Elbert County and the neighboring communities along CO-86. We pave, repair, and protect asphalt on the kinds of properties that are common here: long rural driveways, acreage lots in places like Ponderosa Park and Sun Country Meadows, and small lots for churches, shops, and HOAs.
The properties we work on
Elizabeth is an exurban town where most homes outside the downtown core and the newer subdivisions sit on two to five or more acres. That means long private driveways, many of them still gravel, and a steady demand for converting those drives to asphalt. Residential driveways and gravel conversions make up a large part of what we do.
We also work on smaller commercial and institutional surfaces: parking lots for churches, schools, small businesses along Main Street and Kiowa Avenue, and HOA common areas. We are set up for the scale of work a town like Elizabeth actually needs, not for highway projects.
- New asphalt driveways, including long rural drives
- Gravel or dirt driveway to asphalt conversion
- Small commercial, church, school, and HOA lots
- Patching, pothole repair, and edge repair
- Hot-applied crack sealing
- Sealcoating and parking lot striping
- Resurfacing worn but structurally sound surfaces
How an estimate works
Every job starts with a site visit. You send the form on this site or call (720) 555-0147, and we reply within one business day to set a time. On site we measure the drive or lot, look at the condition of the existing surface and base, check how water drains, and talk through what you want the finished surface to do.
After the visit you receive a written quote by email. It spells out the scope, the base and drainage work included, and the asphalt thickness, so you can compare it fairly with anyone else's. There is no pressure to decide on the spot and no charge for the estimate.
Where we work
We serve a radius of about 25 miles from Elizabeth. That covers all of the Elbert County communities near us, including Kiowa, Elbert, and Ponderosa Park, and reaches west into Douglas County to Franktown, Castle Rock, The Pinery, Parker, and Larkspur. We are based in Elizabeth and travel to each of these areas; we do not maintain offices in other towns.
If you are near the edge of that radius, send your address with the estimate request and we will confirm whether we can take the job.
What we do not do
We focus only on asphalt and sealcoating. We do not pour flatwork, install pavers, or do general excavation unrelated to a paving project. If your project needs something outside asphalt, we will say so rather than take on work that is not ours to do well.
We also do not take on large highway or municipal road contracts. Our equipment and crews are sized for driveways, private roads, and small lots, which is where most of the demand in Elbert County sits.
Built for Elbert County conditions
Pavement in Elizabeth lives at about 6,500 feet on the Palmer Divide. Winters bring repeated freeze-thaw cycles from November through March, summers bring strong high-altitude sun and hail, and the soils range from well-draining sandy loam to expansive clay. Those conditions are the reason we insist on a compacted, well-graded base, positive drainage away from the pavement, and a realistic sealcoating schedule.
That is the whole approach: build the base right, keep water out, and protect the surface from the sun. It is not complicated, but it has to be done every time.
